Gallup Pole. 3/27/2009

Americans’ views on President Barack Obama’s proposed budget plan have hardly changed from when it was first outlined -- 39% now have a positive impression (vs. 44% last month), and 27% a negative impression (vs. 26%).

Currently, 54% of Americans say the country’s national defense is about right, up from 41% a year ago. The change is mainly the result of a surge in this perception among Democrats, from 37% to 64%. Democrats also feel more comfortable with the level of defense spending than they did in 2008.

Read the last Gallup poll results. These results come from the same people that said Iraq is lost (Reid, Pelosi, Murtha, Obama just to name a few) and the surge will never work. How we can be this ignorant and not see what pathetic hypocrites we now have running our country is beyond me!

So Jim,

Let me see if I get this correct. Obama wins and promises to cut our military to scary low levels. He also says he will pull out of Iraq, but changes his mind, and then goes and admits Iraq and the surge were a success. Within 60 days Americans feel our country is safer? I don’t know what changed to make us any safer. I agree that we are a dumbing down society

jmark...is your mind even capable of commenting without so many vulgar four letter words? Can you even stick to the point of these blog posts in any capacity? I really don't want to censure you, but you give me and others no choice.

Well, that explains it! Here I was looking in the yellow pages between Billiard Equipment and Billing Service. Duh! Given billy's political leanings I can only assume he lives on the "right" side of town. Thanks for the info bro.

About Jim Hayett

I live in Merton and have been married since 1989. We have two young girls. We enjoy going to church together, eating together, and vacationing together. My political goal is to educate people when it comes to politics. As a liberal who changed to a centrist, I believe America is ignorant when it comes to voting and politics.
