Will anyone expose Matt Pickard for being caught with not only lying about what people said, but changing bloggers comments so they hurt the person who wrote them? How does this paper/blog site allow dishonest people like this village idiot, MC, to even stay here? As one who has seen my fair share of people leave because of the idiot Pickard twins, I would ask the living lake organization to  kick him off for lying and breaking your rules. Do you guys even have rules or is this paper another dishonest msm liberal machine and only enforces rules to those that are not liberal.

Until I receive proof from your diatribe, I have a hard time believing what you are saying. Banks were crying for the money in 2008. TARP hasn't even been expanded in 2009 under Obama. Unfortunately for you, banks who didn't want the money, didn't receive the money.

Jim, for arguments sake, I'll take your word that CEOs of some banks want to return TARP funds in fear of govenment controll. Ok, I problably would be terrified for my job too,  I just over saw the loss of billions upon billions of dollars down the tubes, I refuse to take any honerable action like refusing undeserved bonuses or resigning and now the government might force accountability on me, yea I'd be scared and rightfully so. I don't deserve any thing else. To the GM problem it's not the Unions Fault upper management failed miseably, they killed a working electric car, promoted huge gas guzzelers and made unattractive autos. The thing that angers me the most about Ford, and GM is they both make stellar cars and trucks that are attractive, safe, fuel effecent and inexpensive. The catch, none of those models are available in North America, that is not the unions fault. You and other business tyrants hate organized labour because we don't allow you to take advantage of labour and hoard the wealth to your self. Be honest you just hate unions.

Victor…I do read history and much about the world of Islam. The Ottomans were fed up with the violence and corruption amongst other Muslims that followed Islam in a violent nature. The Huns too came close to destroying the Muslim world. History is history. Or, do liberals have two sides to that too? Enough of this on this blog post. I agree the American people do not want socialism.  As far as I can tell, neither does Obama.  You claim he's a socialist....cite references, please.

I do not believe Obama wants to control the banks...but he wants better regulation.

Personally, I think that Obama should listen to Paul Krugman, nationalize the banks, clean them up resell them to the private sector.  I think Treasury is captive of Wall Street.

Remember, unfettered capitalism is BAD.  Laws and regulations are needed for things to work well.  The reason we're in this mess is that Republicans, with some Democratic help, deregulated Wall Street.

Don't you, as a parent, want your children to be independent, yet still give them rules within which to operate?  

Jim: I read the article from Bloomberg. There's no mention of Obama refusing to take back funds. It does however state that the "Treasury hasn’t taken a public stand on whether it’s good or bad for banks to return the funds, and is setting up a process for repayments".

Victor…you asked why I criticize the president and doing so is hating America. I don’t see that criticizing our president is hating America. I made a point similar to this, if this is what you are referring to, where lying about our president just to get your candidate in office is a person who is anti-American.  Keyword is lies, not criticize!

I have proven time and time again to those like Blackwell, MC, Jake and yes even you Victor, that much of your hate or dislike for Bush was unfounded and much from the liberal lies that permeate our msm. From the war on terror to Bush spending vs. Obama’s, I have shown the facts and I took much of my data from democrats you and all the others voted for as my source. And nearly every time I did this, not one liberal went after my facts (except Reff33 but as much as I like him, he did fail) that prove that these lies towards Bush were a bunch of lies that started from our MSM or some of our politicians. So, why do I criticize Obama? Because the liberal MSM (still at 86%) will not give us Americans the truth about Obama’s agenda and they will never, never show you when he lies. That’s my job. I’m showing you the truth and it obviously is hurting those that voted for him. Obama is too inexperienced and too much a liar to be our president. Victor…I’m publishing your comment because I owe you an apology. It was not the Huns who nearly wiped out Islam, it was the Mongols. When I wrote my comment, I used the wrong ethnic group. The Mongols nearly destroyed the Muslims and Islam. However, the Ottomans came very close and the O’s are not all Muslims. They had many Jews in their armies and cities, and even had laws to protect them. The O’s went on and attacked kingdom after kingdom and didn't take lightly those in Islam that were not true followers. Many Muslims tried to retaliate against the O’s but they kept fighting back.

I disagree with you on who is responsible for GM’s failure. Yes, it is about time Detroit woke up. But it should never come from a sitting President firing a CEO from a publicly traded company and then not fire the union head that helped keep the company from being profitable. The UAW union is equally, probably more, involved with the auto failure than you want to think or admit. And don’t even try to get a word of this from your local papers or the MSM. They endorsed Obama and all unions. This is why you hear me get so worked up when I see so many smart people right here commenting daily but have no clue what is happening in the real world. I force myself to watch CBS, NBC, CNN, etc. so I can get balanced news. My kids also watch FOX news during dinner hour so they get balanced political news which is missing in our public schools. I also read many liberal books. EVEN Michael Moore’s!!  You should do the same.

David…do you use the free version of LexisNexis or do you pay for it? Get cable. It's where the only balanced news is located.

I usually use a friends account, or latley have them pull info for me, I used to have a subscription with some one else but due to my budget and income cut I had to take it's a cost I can afford not to have. Ditto for cable, to many crappy channels to justify the cost especially when I get so many free channels over the air.

Hi Jacob...first, this is not the point of my blog. Second, I chased you all over these blogs trying to get you to answer some tough and some easy questions about Bush, Iraq and so on. Carl...if you watched FOX news you wouldn't make those comments. How does O'Reilly get to be the top cable news show for 100 straight months? No other msm outlet can make the claim of fair and balanced. All the shows on FOX, including the liberal ones as well, have all political sides reporting and many in equal amounts. Rarely see that on CNN or MSNBC. And we both know that’s NEVER on the big three.
