Will Obama divorce his wife?

By Amy L. Geiger-Hemmer
Saturday, May 31 2008, 07:09 PM

Breaking news!!!  - Barack Obama has decided (finally) to sever his membership with the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, Illinois.  After the inflammatory and racist rhetoric of his pastor and mentor (for 20 years) - the Reverend Jeremiah Wright - came to light,  Obama seemed puzzled. What to do?  Denounce his pastor, the one who married Barack and his wife, Michelle, who baptized Obama's daughters and gave him the inspiration for his book "The Audacity of Hope"?   Eventually, when it looked like Wright would be a huge detriment for Obama to have a chance to become President, Obama finally withdrew his support of Reverend Jeramiah Wright.  In the past few days, however, another pastor and friend of Obama's has crawled out of the woodwork to again spew anti-white, racist rhetoric.  This time, Obama worked quickly to distance himself from the Reverend Michael Pfleger.  He said he was "disappointed" with the comments made by Pfleger while Pfelger was a guest speaker at Trinity United Church of  Christ .  While calling out whites to "give up their 401K's" because they made money off of slavery, Pfleger also stated that Hillary Clinton felt she was "entitled to the presidency because she was white".

OK, so Obama has had to finally admit that his membership in the Trinity United Church of Christ reflected badly on him.  It was getting too problematic in his quest for the highest office in the land.  However, Obama has another problem that the media hasn't focused too much on.  That is, Obama's own spouse, Michelle (maiden name:  Michelle LaVaughn Robinson).  Just recently everyone heard her say how ashamed she was of America - until her husband was running for president.  If our mainstream media would bother to do just a bit of digging, they might have found Michelle LaVaughn Robinson's extremely racist thesis "Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community" published in 1985.  While stating that America was founded on "crime and hatred", Michelle LaVaughn Robinson also stated "whites in America were "ineradicable racist"".    Referring to black people in her thesis, she continually spoke of "a separationist" and "integrationist" view of race.  A few tidbits from Michelle LaVaughn Robinson's thesis follow:

According to Michelle, she stated that "to whites at Princeton, it often seems as if to them, she will always be black first.  By actually working with the black lower class or within their communities as a result of their ideologies, a separationist may better understand the desperation of their situation and feel more hopeless about a resolution as opposed to an integrationist who is ignorant to their plight."

Obama wrote that the path she chose while attending Princeton would likely lead to her "further integration and/or assimilation into a white cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society, never becoming a full participant".  Yet another passage:  "There was no doubt in my mind that as a member of the black community, I am obligated to this community and will utilize all of my present and future resources to benefit the black community first and foremost".

(If Michelle Obama becomes first lady, will she elevate black over white in America?)

The conclusion of Obama's thesis revealed that other black alumni at Princeton did not share her obsession with blackness.  "I hoped that these findings would help me conclude that despite the high degree of identification with whites as a result of the educational and occupational path that black Princeton alumni follow, the alumni would still maintain a certain level of identification with the black community.  However, these findings do not support this possibility."

It is interesting that most black alumni ignored her racist questionnaire, which was a part of her thesis.  Out of 400 black alumni which received questionnaires, only 89 responded.  Fellow black classmates of Michelle Robinson's at Princeton had this to say about her:  "if those whites at Princeton really saw Michelle as one who always would be "black first", it seems that she gave them that impression".

So much for Obama being an agent of "change".  The people he surrounds himself with say a great deal about the type of man he is.  Will his wife continue to get a free pass from the press?  Or, as we learn more,  will she continue to be a detriment to his campaign?  Michelle Obama's intellectually refined racism should give all Americans pause for deep concern.  She sure sounds like an angry woman.  This is a very divisive view for a potential first lady.  Imagine the damage Michelle Obama could do to race relations in this country if her husband were to become President.  While claiming to be a "uniter", Obama sure surrounds himself with people who are true "dividers".  Obama might find it necessary to distance himself from his own wife to save his slim chances at becoming the next President .... is a divorce coming?  Will Michelle Obama be "thrown under the bus"... just like Barack Obama had to do to the  Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Pastor Pfleger, and  his entire Trinity United Church of Christ congregation?....only time will tell!

Yet another update to my "friends of Obama" posts....

A must read!   Kyle-Anne Shiver, writing for the National Review has a column titled "Obama the Closer" which begins with the following line:  "An eloquent clean cut black man is the perfect front man for the radical left".

Scary, isn't it?  And to think this man could be our next President....

Memorial Day: May 26th, 2008

By Amy L. Geiger-Hemmer
Monday, May 26 2008, 12:30 PM

Our family, for the past few years, has always made a point of attending the Merton Memorial Day parade as well as the Memorial Day ceremonies afterwards.  The ceremonies are held in front of the Merton Village Hall/Fire Department.  There is always a large turnout of area families, friends, and neighbors for this event.   We gather at the ceremonies to say the Pledge of Allegiance, sing and listen to patriotic songs, and hear from several speakers.   In addition, the American flag is raised to half-mast and a 21 gun salute is offered by an Honor Guard in respect to the nation's fallen heroes.  "Taps" is played.

At our ceremonies today, one of the keynote speakers was our State Representative, Don Pridemore -  from the 99th Assembly District in Wisconsin.  I found his speech to be very moving and a wonderful example of patriotism and how the majority of Americans feel about our American soldiers.  After State Representative Pridemore's speech, I introduced myself to him and asked him if he would be willing to allow me to put his speech on my blog site.  He kindly turned over his original typed speech to me at that time, no questions asked.  Following is what Don Pridemore had to say on this Memorial Day.  I would like to thank him for giving me the opportunity to share his speech with you.   I hope you will find it as moving and as inspirational as I did:

"I am truly honored to be here with you today as we honor and pay our respects to the men and women who stood in the line of fire between good and evil, freedom and tyranny, liberty and terrorism.

I am proud to have the opportunity to speak in humble remembrance of their ultimate sacrifice and with great hope that simple words spoken here today will perpetuate awareness of their sacrifice and achievements to future generations.

More than one million American service members have died in wars and conflicts since we first began our fight for independence.  Each one of those million soldiers was a person who was loved and cherished by family and friends.  Each was a loss to the community and the nation.  Today, please join me in remembrance.  Even though no amount of words or homage may ever repay their sacrifice.

Let me quote from a letter home:  "Remember when we were kids on Easter, the girls would be all dressed up in new hats and pretty dresses.  Us boys in new shirts and shoes and off to church we would go and then come home and look for our Easter baskets.  I hope God will bring me back home so that I can marry the girl I love.  Then I can watch my kids get dressed up and head for church and live that day all over again."  Five days after writing that letter, Army Private Timothy G. Robinson of Hoyt Lakes, Minnesota, caught his foot in a trip wire, setting off a landmine that killed him instantly.

Memorial Day was officially proclaimed in 1868 by General John Logan, a national commander of the Grand Army of the Republic, and was first observed on May 30, 1868, when flowers were placed on the graves of soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery.  It was not until after World War I, however, that the day was expanded to honor those who died in all American wars.  In 1971, Memorial Day was declared a national holiday by an act of Congress.

Today we gather here to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day.  We come here to honor our fallen comrades by our presence.  We understand that on Memorial Day, we reflect on the ideals and values that our soldiers stood for and died defending.

Every day is Memorial Day!  Each day provides us with an opportunity to remember, honor and respect our fallen heroes.  It is also a  day to be thankful for the young men and women serving in many foreign lands.  Today we celebrate not only the past, but recognize the selfless service and sacrifice of our present-day heroes and because of them, in Iraq and Afghanistan, sinister forces no longer rule the day.

Today there is a new kind of enemy that threatens the United States, an enemy that does not wear a uniform.  An enemy that does not recognize the Geneva Convention.  An enemy that often targets civilians.   An enemy that's sole purpose is to try and tear down this house of freedom.  It is an enemy born of hatred and educated in terror.  They hope terrorism will break our resolve.  Only someone who has never experienced freedom would believe that such a tactic would work.

Once again America has been attacked and once again brave soldiers have answered the call of duty.  As a new generation of America's finest put themselves in harms way to protect our freedoms, I once again stand in awe at the sense of pride and honor displayed by these men and women in uniform.  And once again I am proud to be an American.

Franklin D. Roosevelt said, "They fight not for the lust of conquest, they fight to end conquest.  They fight to liberate.  They fight to let justice arise."

Let us leave here today knowing that our destiny as free people rests entirely upon us.  Let each of our remaining days be guided by the memory of those who gave their lives for our freedoms.  And may their sacrifice continue to inspire us and fill us with hope.  May God bless them and may God bless you for caring enough to be here today.

Thank you!

- State Representative Don Pridemore, Memorial Day, May 26th, 2008

What media bias?

By Amy L. Geiger-Hemmer
Wednesday, May 21 2008, 12:36 PM

Added 5/26/08 - Memorial Day:

Check out the Editorial pages of our anti-war, anti-Bush liberal paper, the Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel.  On Memorial Day, they chose to run a despicable cartoon by Stuart Carlson (no surprise there) with President Bush in the background with a set of golf clubs,  saying he gave up golf because of the war in Iraq - what have we given up? The empty boots, gun and helmet representing a fallen soldier are in the foreground.

In addition, every "Letter to the Editor"  regarding Iraq -  is anti-war.  The other published letters that are not anti-war or anti-Bush are "pro-appeasement" and "pro-Obama".  Now, I have to believe that not everyone in Wisconsin or the Milwaukee area hates our President, is against the war, wants to chat with our sworn enemies and loves Obama.....  Guess those letters didn't make it to today's pages, tho....

The Journal/Sentinel's only saving grace is that for "Perspectives" they printed some stories from war vets.  They also featured tributes to Wisconsin soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.  However, at the same time in the paper, not one word about any positive stories from the war or successes.  Just the usual garbage about ""Insurgent activity rising in Afghanistan, NATO says".

Another article titled "Insurgents scatter from Iraqi city" states the following:  Al-qaida fighters and other Sunni insurgents largely have scattered from the northern city of Mosul in the face of a US-Iraqi sweep, fleeing to desert areas farther south, an Iraqi commander said Sunday.  He vowed the forces will not allow them to regroup.   The US military said al-qaida in Iraq was "off-balance and on the run", but remains a lethal threat, tempering remarks by the US ambassador a day earlier that the group was closer than ever to being defeated.  (Now, even though what seems like good news has to be downplayed by the media - they wouldn't want any story on Iraq to sound too hopeful.) The ending paragraphs are summarized as such: U.S. Ambassador Ryan Crocker said Saturday that Iraqi forces have made important progress in confronting extremists, adding, "You are not going to hear me say that al-qaida is defeated, but they've never been closer to defeat than they are now."  (So, of course the paper has to add a disclaimer!!!  We can't have that bit of positive news go unchallenged!  Hence the following:)  But US Military spokesman Rear Adm. Patrick Driscoll cautioned that while al-qaida in Iraq fighters "certainly are off-balance and on the run", the group remains a very lethal threat".   (Ever notice how any slightly positive article that the paper choses to print always has to have a "but"..buried in there...) .And why wasn't there a news article in Sunday's Journal/Sentinel regarding a U.S. Ambassador saying al-qaida was closer than ever to being defeated?  You can bet that if a U.S. Ambassador said something negative regarding the war or our soldiers, that would have been printed in the  Sunday paper....

And also in our Memorial Day paper- a  huge photo of anti-war, anti-Bush, ultra-leftie Sean Penn - self-proclaimed US ambassador to Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro (Penn never met a dictator he didn't like....)  in the Metro section.  (The Metro section is also where the articles about Wisconsin military men and women who were killed in the war  are featured.)  How appropriate that Penn be seen in a photo in today's Memorial Day paper..... The picture is from the Cannes Film Festival.   During the festival,  Mr. Penn saw fit to call President Bush "absolute evil" and "brainless" when interviewed.  Did Sean Penn even graduate from high school?  ...maybe he graduated from Ridgemont High...

My original post on Media Bias:

Two telling examples of liberal bias from our self-proclaimed "unbiased mainstream news media".  A friend of mine forwarded this link on to me.  She has a nephew in the Navy who frequently checks out this site, since it is one of the few news outlets actually supportive of America and our fight against terrorism:

Success in Iraq - A Media Blackout

Next up, from the Associated Press (5/19/08):

Bush complains about editing:

The White House on Monday called on NBC News to set the record straight on "deceitful" editing of an interview with President Bush in which correspondent Richard Engel asks whether comments about the president of Iran were directed at Barack Obama.  Bush aides were angered by how the president's answer was portrayed when Engel questioned him about his condemnation of the "false comfort of appeasement" in an address last week to the Israeli Knesset.  NBC stood by its treatment of the interview Monday.

Bush had mentioned the president of Iran in his speech and said "Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along."  Obama's campaign considered that statement an attack on him, which the White House has denied.  Engel asked Bush whether he was referring to Obama in his speech.

As it appeared on "Nightly News" Sunday and the "Today" show Monday, Bush's response was: "You know, my policies haven't changed, but evidently the political calendar has. . . And when you know, a leader of Iran says that they want to destroy Israel, you've got to take those words seriously."  But the White House said NBC edited out these words that Bush said between those two sentences:  "People need to read the speech.  You didn't get it right, either.  What I said was that we need to take the words of people seriously."

Bush counsel, Ed Gillespie, in a letter to NBC President Steve Capus, says that "this deceitful editing to further a media-manufactured storyline is utterly misleading and irresponsible."

But no!  It can't be true!......the liberal media tells us over and over that there is no bias in the news....even if they resort to piecing their interviews together like a Michael Moore movie to get their desired effect.....            Click here to see the unedited Bush/Engel interview.

John McCain and the Pledge of Allegiance

By Amy L. Geiger-Hemmer
Tuesday, May 20 2008, 10:12 AM

With some people commenting on how trivial and irrelevant it is that Barack Obama, a candidate to be President of the United States,  refuses to wear a flag pin or put his hand over his heart during the singing of the National Anthem,  and/or say the Pledge of Allegiance, a friend of mine sent me the following regarding John McCain and his views on the "Pledge of Allegiance".  It is quite a contrast to that of Mr. Obama and leads me to further deepen my belief that John McCain should be the next President of the United States - if not for McCain's own patriotism, then at least to protect us from Mr. Obama:

I did check this out to make sure it was true before printing (John McCain/Pledge of Allegiance):

The Pledge of Allegiance - by Senator John McCain

"As you may know, I spent five and one-half years as a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War.  In the early years of our imprisonment, the NVA (North Vietnamese Army) kept us in solitary confinement or two or three to a cell.  In 1971 the NVA moved us from these conditions of isolation into larger rooms with as many as 30 to 40 men to a room.

This was, as you can imagine, a wonderful change and was  a direct result of the efforts of millions of Americans on behalf of a few hundred POW's 10,000 miles from home.

One of the men who moved into my room was a young man named Mike Christian.  Mike came from a small town near Selma, Alabama.  He didn't wear a pair of shoes until he was 13 years old.  At 17, he enlisted in the US Navy.  He later earned a commission by going to Officer Training School.  Then he became a Naval Flight Officer and was shot down and captured in 1967.  Mike had a keen and deep appreciation of the opportunities this country and our military provide for people who want to work and want to succeed.

As part of the change in treatment, the Vietnamese allowed some prisoners to receive packages from home.  In some of these packages were handkerchiefs, scarves and other items of clothing.  Mike got himself a bamboo needle.  Over a period of a couple of months, he created an American flag and sewed it on the inside of his shirt.

Every afternoon, before we had a bowl of soup, we would hang Mike's shirt on the wall of the cell and say the Pledge of Allegiance.

I know the Pledge of Allegiance may not seem the most important part of our day now, but I can assure you that in that stark cell it was indeed the most important and meaningful event.

One day the Vietnamese searched our cell, as they did periodically, and discovered Mike's shirt with the flag sewn inside, and removed it.  That evening they returned, opened the door of the cell, and for the benefit of all of us, beat Mike Christian severely for the next couple of hours.  Then, they opened the door of the cell and threw him in.  We cleaned him up as well as we could.  The cell in which we lived had a concrete slab in the middle on which we slept.  Four naked light bulbs hung in each corner of the room.  As I said, we tried to clean up Mike as well as we could.  After the excitement died down, I looked in the corner of the room, and sitting there beneath that dim light bulb with a piece of red cloth, another shirt and his bamboo needle, was my friend Mike Christian.  He was sitting there with his eyes almost shut from the beating he had received, making another American flag.  He was not making the flag because it made Mike Christian feel better.  He was making the flag because he knew how important it was to us to be able to Pledge our Allegiance to our flag and country.

So the next time you say the Pledge of Allegiance, you must never forget the sacrifice and courage that thousands of Americans have made to build our nation and promote freedom around the world.  You must remember our duty, our honor, and our country."

*****************************************************************************************************************************************

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Bush nails it.

By Amy L. Geiger-Hemmer
Sunday, May 18 2008, 01:17 PM

In a speech last week while in Jerusalem, President Bush made the following excellent point:

"Some seem to think we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along.  We have heard this foolish delusion before.  As Nazi tanks crossed Poland in 1939, an American Senator declared, "Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided."

We have an obligation to call this what it is - the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history."

Although Bush made no reference to any political party, nor any particular person, Obama was apoplectic.  His camp issued the following retort:  "Mr. Bush's remarks were "astonishing" and an "unprecedented attack on foreign soil".   One has to wonder WHY did Obama think President Bush was referring to him? (After all, Bush could have been talking about Jimmy Carter, too!)  Perhaps the following may offer some insight:

Obama would meet with terrorists/radicals.

President Bush made it clear with his speech that meeting with terrorists can be compared to meeting with Hitler - talks would not have worked.  Having direct talks with terrorists, radicals, and a madman like Hitler would have served no purpose other than to validate them.   People need to realize that there are enemies in the world who do not wish to "negotiate".  Rather -  terrorists want to see us dead because we exist and hold different beliefs than they do.  How does one reason with that viewpoint?

So much for being a "lame duck".  President Bush is still doing his best to protect the United States from it's enemies.  It's just unfortunate in this day and age that one of the biggest dangers to the security of our country - Barack Obama - is currently running for President of the United States.

(Yet another gaffe:  how Obama views Iran as a "tiny threat"..... (Read "Lessons from the Trail")) How clueless is this guy?  And he wants to lead the country?  C'mon America - wise up!!!  Before it's too late....

Obama adviser fired after meeting with Hamas

By Amy L. Geiger-Hemmer
Wednesday, May 14 2008, 05:12 PM

This just in - wow, what a surprise!  An Obama adviser was considered a "distration" from the Obama campaign for meeting with the  terrorist group Hamas.  He resigned - or was fired (it's still unclear with the spin being put out).   You can't make this stuff up!  Maybe he was caught thanking them for supporting his boss in the quest for the Presidency of the United States.

See:  Informal Obama Adviser Steps Aside

Isn't anyone terrified of what could happen should Obama get into the White House?

(5/15/08):  Does anyone wonder why the mainstream media has been so slow to report this story? or if they have covered it at all?  Yet the mainstream media continues to tell us how "unbiased" they are....Imagine for just one moment if one of John McCain's advisers had done the same thing!  Headline news for sure!

Why vote for McCain?

By Amy L. Geiger-Hemmer
Sunday, May 11 2008, 07:03 PM

"Common sense conservatives believe in a short list of self-evident truths; love of country, respect for our unique influence on history;  a strong defense and strong alliances based on mutual respect and mutual responsibility; steadfast opposition to threats to our security and values that matches resources to ends wisely; and confident, reliable, consistent leadership to advance human rights, democracy, peace and security." - Senator John McCain

***********************************************************************************************************

While not all conservatives, myself included, are jumping for joy that Senator John McCain has been selected as the Republican nominee for President, it is important that in November he be elected.  If not for the sole reason that Barack Hussein Obama is unqualified as well as of questionable character to serve as leader of our country, then for the following:

1)  Military Experience

John McCain attended college at the United States Naval Academy.  Upon graduation, he embarked on a 22 year career as a naval aviator.  While serving in the Vietnam War, McCain's plane was shot down, at which time he ejected and broke both his arms and a leg.  He was captured by the North Vietnamese and spent 5 1/2 years as a prisoner of war at the infamous "Hanoi Hilton".  He was denied adequate medical treatment and was often beaten by his captors.  He was looked upon as a true leader by the other men in the camp.   Upon realizing that he was a "celebrity" prisoner (McCain's father and grandfather were well-known Naval Admirals), he was offered early release by his captors as a propaganda ploy.  McCain refused to leave unless his other fellow P.O. W.'s were freed, too - so the deal was off.  His loyalty to his fellow P.O.W.'s is well-known.  He came home a true hero.  McCain's Naval Honors include:  the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, the Legion of Merit, the Purple Heart and the Distinguished Flying Cross.  Bud Day, McCain's cellmate while in Vietnam, has much to say about McCain.  Day is also the most decorated military man from Vietnam currently still alive.

2)  Legislative Experience

McCain has over 25 years as a legislator.  He was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Arizona in 1982.  After two terms as a Representative, he was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1986, where he has been ever since.

3)  Important Committees McCain has worked on

McCain has chaired several important committees.  He is a ranking member of the Senate Committee on Armed Services one of the most powerful committees to belong to.  In this capacity, he also has served on several sub-committees including:  - Readiness, - Personnel, and - Seapower.

He is also a ranking member and former Chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation.

In addition, he is a member and former Chairman of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs.

4)  Legislation

One of the most notable among McCain's political accomplishments is his work with Russ Feingold (D-Wi) on the McCain-Feingold bill to regulate campaign finances.  McCain truly "reached across the aisle" to work with a Democrat on this and the bill was signed into law by President Bush in 2002.

McCain "reached across the aisle" yet again to work with Ted Kennedy (D-Massachusetts) on an illegal immigration bill that, even with the support of President Bush didn't go anywhere. Many saw the bill as offering amnesty to illegals.  McCain's position now is that the most important thing to do in regards to illegal immigration is to secure our borders.

McCain has a long history of sponsoring bills and working on important issues.  These include such things as climate control, nuclear terrorism, responses to 9/11,  and care for returning military personnel.  One of his most recent bills that he has co-sponsored is for "Enhanced Education Benefits for Service Members and Veterans" (April, 2008).

5)  Beliefs

John McCain has stated that he wants judges who will strictly interpret the law and not legislate from the bench.  If McCain is elected President, he would be responsible for appointing many new federal judges.  He may also have the chance to appoint a Supreme Court Justice.

John McCain wants to win the war against Islamic Extremists.  He feels that radical extremists are a "relentless threat to America, it's citizens and the values we share".  He has also said that Iraq is the central battleground of the war on terror.  He has supported President Bush in the war on terror, has gone on record to say the "surge is working" and has continued to stress that we must not give up.  He recognizes that his Democratic opponent wants to lose.  By withdrawing our troops, the enemy would be emboldened.  The Iraq region would be thrown into instability, increasing the risk of another 9/11 on our soil.  And remember, terrorists, like Hamas,  are backing Obama.  McCain has stated that Hamas wouldn't back him as President, since they know he would be their worst nightmare.

McCain has expressed concern that government spending is out of control.  He has promised to stand up to trial lawyers, labor bosses and special interests groups.  He has also supported extending President Bush's tax cuts - after initially voting against them.  He originally voted against them - twice - because, as he explained,  they were not paired with spending cuts, which he felt were important.   McCain felt the government shouldn't spend money it doesn't have - which holds true today.

6)  Family

The McCains have five children.  They have been very low-key about their sons.  Jack will graduate from Annapolis this year and Jimmy is a 19 year old Marine, preparing for his second tour of duty in Iraq.  The McCains also have an adopted daughter from Bangladesh.  McCain's wife, Cindy, rather than being "ashamed" of her country like Michelle Obama, has stated "I am very proud of my country".  Along with raising two other children, Cindy McCain is a "hands on" worker when it comes to helping others.  She sits on the board of "Operation Smile" and has helped organize relief missions to Micronesia.

Whether you believe that McCain is conservative or liberal, John McCain has something to offer this country that Barack Obama doesn't.  EXPERIENCE.  He also loves America and realizes it is worth fighting for.  He doesn't have ties to radicals or terrorists.  He doesn't wish to sit down and try to appease our enemies with chit-chat.  He realizes the dangers from terrorism are real.  He doesn't see raising taxes as the solution to every problem facing America.  He doesn't despise those who are successful.  He isn't an elitist.   It is important that come November, Americans vote for John McCain. Although McCain has been known to vacillate between liberal and conservative stances on issues, maybe at this point in time he may be the most unifying person to be running for President.   Even if you don't agree with any of the reasons I mentioned above, then at least vote for McCain to protect our country from Barack Hussein Obama.

Original Post from 5/11:

......I'm still waiting!  It's awfully quiet out there!  I can hear crickets chirping, but no responses from Obama supporters!  Doesn't anyone have ANY examples of Obama's political accomplishments?  Here's something to get you started:

"Barack for President"

(Oops!  On second thought, that may not exactly help!  Plus, the video shows everyone exactly what Mr. Obama thinks of the American flag...)

C'mon all you Barack supporters - give us a reason (just one) to vote for this guy!!!   What did he do as a Senator from Illinois? as a U.S. Senator?    (Hillary says Obama spent his time as a U.S. Senator running for President - she seems to be right! )

Major accomplishments?  Fresh ideas?  Solutions?  Experience?  Anything????

This just added (5/12/08):   Watch this, from a major Barack Obama supporter - Barack's Political Accomplishments

Can anyone come up with anything?

Being a smooth talker doesn't count.  (Especially when the words aren't even his own - watch Barack Obama plagiarize others on YouTube:  http://youtube.com/watch?v=YuB_W8o_UsU

Any major accomplishments you can tell me about?  Support with facts?

Ann Coulter - My Hero

By Amy L. Geiger-Hemmer
Friday, May 9 2008, 07:00 PM

I have always admired Ann Coulter.   She tells it like it is and doesn't care who she offends (without question usually liberals).   Ann has been at times somewhat outrageous, but I think she does most of her "shock and awe" stuff as publicity stunts.   Even so, her concern for our country and love of the United States is genuine.   She has written many bestselling political books, which are factual and always done with a sense of humor.  Aside from being intelligent and witty, Ann never fails to come up with new perspectives on how to look at our political landscape.    Following is one of her recent columns ("One Down, Two to Go")  that is very relevant as to what has happened to the Hillary Clinton campaign and why:

 www.anncoulter.com

I hope you find that Ann's column has some brilliant observations and is "right" on target - and may even provide a laugh or two.  Bill Clinton wouldn't have made a good "co-president" anyhow.  I don't think he'd have enjoyed being in the background while Hillary was in the spotlight - (much like he doesn't seem too fond of campaigning for her right now....).  Maybe he'd have ended up throwing a few lamps at her for a change,  if indeed they had made it all the way to the White House ....

McCain will win in November

By Amy L. Geiger-Hemmer
Wednesday, May 7 2008, 09:05 AM

With results from the Democratic primaries in North Carolina and Indiana in, it is becoming clear that Hillary Clinton's run for the White House is almost over.   Barack Obama may actually become the Democratic nominee for President of the United States.  Initially I had thought that had Clinton gotten the nomination, McCain would have been a shoo-in.  Well, I am flip-flopping - and I admit it!!!   I think McCain will have a much better chance of getting into the White House with Obama as his challenger.

It won't be easy.  McCain will have to get ready to be persecuted by the mainstream media. The press will stop at nothing to help Obama become President.  This means two things:  first, they must destroy John McCain.  Second, they must whip up round two of "Obamamania", which has somewhat fizzled due to Obama's recent blunders and ties with questionable associates...

Let the fun begin!!!

On the positive side, John McCain has many things going in his favor - the first being that huge numbers of Clinton supporters have stated they will not vote for Obama, should he become the Democratic candidate for President.  Most have indicated they will vote for McCain.  Given this has been a tight race to begin with, with McCain either equal to or surpassing Clinton and/or Obama in some polls, the Clinton votes would be a big boost for McCain.  McCains'  liberal leanings (of which many conservatives are unhappy with)  in some areas may help him clinch the victory.

McCain also will benefit from Obama's extreme liberalism. As a United States Senator, Obama has the most liberal voting record ever.   Obama is so far to the left that even many liberals are a bit turned off.  His radical left leanings have not gone unnoticed, either.   Hamas has endorsed Obama for President.  Other terrorists and radicals support Obama.  The mainstream media cannot hide those facts.  These types of endorsements do bother many Americans.   Obama is still hurting from the Reverend Wright debacle.

McCain can easily defeat Obama in any debate.  Without cue cards or a prepared speech, Obama fumbles and stumbles.  Witness his last debate against Hillary Clinton.  Without preparation, he cannot think on his feet and has shown himself to have no understanding of economics or how to run a country.  Clinton had no trouble exposing Obama's flaws - or pointing out that he is "unelectable".  McCain should follow in her footsteps.   We do not need an inept, elitist President like Obama in the White House -  who wishes to befriend terrorists, dislikes his own country, wants to raise taxes and lose a war.

John McCain will be the next President of the United States.

(In addition to my belief that McCain will win the Presidency, I  predict that Hillary and Bill Clinton will be divorced within a year.  Their "symbiotic" relationship will have ended if Hillary's quest for the White House goes up in smoke. They will no longer need one another in their continued quest for power.  The charade of a marriage won't be necessary.)

Terrorists and radicals like Obama! (Update)

By Amy L. Geiger-Hemmer
Saturday, May 3 2008, 06:29 PM

Update:  Please check out "Where were Obama's friends"?  in the Wall Street Journal by Daniel Henninger.  Given Obama's association with questionable characters, it seems as though some of Obama's most prominent cheerleaders are abandoning him....

Also check out "Friends of Terror in Peru" to see what Hugo Chavez (the socialist leader of Venezuela that Obama would love to meet with!!!???!!!)  is up to.   Note the references to FARC - another terrorist organization that would love to see Obama as the next US President ....

Since the terrorist organization Hamas recently endorsed Senator Barack Hussien Obama for President,  (with little reporting on this from the mainstream media), I thought it prudent to do a little checking into other nefarious groups that might be supporting Obama in his quest to become President of the United States.  Perhaps if the American people became more aware of the following endorsements, they may question why so many of our country's enemies back Obama.

Let's start with the New Black Panthers (NBPP) and their leader, Malik Zulu Shabazz.  Shabazz was a registered team member and blogger on Obama's campaign website.  That Obama even allows him a voice on his website is questionable.  Shabazz in the past blamed President Bush for 9/11 and has defended the actions of Osama bin Laden on that horrible day.  Shabazz has stated "I have nothing but respect for Obama and his pastor (the Rev. Jeremiah Wright)".  Shabazz has also referred to Obama as a man with a "Muslim background".

Next up,  Hatem El-Hady.  El-Hady was the chairman of the Ohio-based Islamic charity "KindHearts", which was closed by the United States government in 2006 when it was deemed to be a front for fund raising for terrorist organizations.   El-Hady has presently been donating to the Obama campaign and counts himself as one of Michelle Obama's friends (and she lists him as one of hers).  El-Hady has his own page on Barack Obama's official website.

Former terrorist Weathermen Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn were supporters of Obama's Senatorial campaign in Chicago.  When Obama ran for the Illinois Senate, Ayers and Dohrn hosted a meet-and-greet for Obama in their home.  They have also given money to his campaign.  In discussing this relationship on the recent Democratic debate, Obama tried to downplay his link with Ayers and Dohrn, saying Ayers was an "English Professor".  Obama tried to compare his relationship with Ayers as being the same as that of Senator Tom Coburn (who favors the death penalty for those who perform abortions).  Obama attempted to explain that even though he disagreed with Coburn, he could still maintain a relationship with him - much like his association with Ayers and Dohrn.  Ayers and Dohrn were terrorists, Mr. Obama!  They blew things up with bombs and Ayers has even stated that he wished they could have done more!  Coburn is a Senator....  no comparison.

And then there is Fidel Castro, who last summer was urging Clinton and Obama to run together on a President/Vice-President ticket.

The terrorist organization "Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia" (FARC) had two laptop computers seized during a raid in early March, 2008.  At that time, information on the laptops stated that FARC hoped Obama would win the US elections in November because they felt he (Obama) was most aligned with the Columbia Marxist group.  Also noted was that the leading socialist Democrat (Obama) is against free trade and is open to holding talks with terrorists without reservations.

Jodie Evans, co-founder of the anti-war group "Code Pink" is a huge Obama supporter.  Evans is also the head of a radical group that funds and supports Islamic terrorists.    She has personally given Obama's campaign the federal limit ($2,300) and continues to raise money on Obama's behalf.  (Code Pink has given $600,000 to the families of Iraqi terrorists in Fallujah, whom they claimed were fighting for their homes.)   Evans has raised over $50,000 so far for Obama's presidential campaign.   Pro-troop organizations and families with men and women serving in the military are angry and upset concerning these donations.  “Barack Obama’s judgment to be commander-in-chief is seriously in question because of his association with Code Pink’s Jodie Evans and her war against the American military,” the groups said in a joint statement. “If Sen. Obama wants to earn the trust of the American people to send their sons and daughters in harm’s way, he should immediately renounce Evans and return all contributions associated with her.”

Maria Isabel, better known as the Obama campaign worker in Texas that hung up a Che Guevara poster as well as the Cuban flag in the Obama Houston campaign headquarters, continues to be an active member of the Obama team.  According to Obama spin, she was just a "low level" volunteer.  However, that is not the case.  Isabel is a "precinct captain" in Obama's camp and also co-chairs a volunteer group called "Houston Obama Leadership Team" (HOLT).

Yet another Obama supporter, Minister Louis Farrakhan - controversial leader of the Nation of Islam.  Speaking to thousands of members of the Nation of Islam at their annual convention in Chicago on Sunday, February 24th of this year, Farrakhan praised Obama as being the only hope for healing the nation's racist divisions.  Obama was quick to distance himself from Farrakan, given Farakkhan's inflammatory past as well as rhetoric (much like the Reverend Jeremiah Wright....).  Farrakhan has been described by many as racist, homophobic and antisemitic.

The list could go on and on.  Of course we have a few of the usual suspects like Jane Fonda ("Hanoi Jane"), Ted Kennedy and John Kerry as well as the usual vapid Hollywood lefties like George Clooney ("He (Obama) walks into a room and you want to follow him somewhere...anywhere...."), Scarlett Johansson ("My heart belongs to Barack") and Halle Berry ("When I met him I was a bit shaky.  I'll do whatever he says.  I'll collect paper cups off the ground.").

The American people have every right to question WHY our country's sworn enemies and their supporters endorse Mr. Obama as he runs for President of the United States.  And why our mainstream media continues to look the other way....

Let's talk about "Race"

By Amy L. Geiger-Hemmer
Thursday, May 1 2008, 08:52 AM

Following is a post by Pat Buchanan in response to Barack Obama's desire to talk about race.  I found it very worthwhile and to the point.  Buchanan has the guts to tell it like it is, unlike our mainstream media.    A warning to those in the "politically correct" crowd, you may find the following offensive.....

"A Brief for Whitey"

Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America.

Fair enough.  But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation.  White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.

This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard.  And among them are these:

First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks.  It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known.  (The Reverend) Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.

Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans.  Untold trillions have been spent since the 60's on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream.

Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks - with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas -- to advance black applicants over white applicants.

Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks.

We hear the grievances.  Where is the gratitude?

Barack Obama talks about new "ladders of opportunity" for blacks.

Let him go to Altoona and Johnstown, and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for "deserving" white kids.

Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates fro African-Americans are seven times those of white America?  Is it really white America's fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black drop-out rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50%?

Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself?

As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence.  Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3% of the time, black criminals chose white victims 45% of the time?  Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?

We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al (Sharpton) about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena.  And all turned out to be hoaxes.  But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real - we hear nothing.

Sorry, Barack.  Some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago.

 -  Pat Buchanan (3/21/08)
