McCain - The Lesser of Two Evils

By Amy L. Geiger-Hemmer

Hello Lake Country!  I am excited about this unique opportunity to provide you with my perspectives and thoughts on various local, state and national issues.  I really want to thank Lake Country Living for allowing me my first chance to become a blogger!  Let’s get started….

Like chimpanzees share 96% of human DNA, so does John McCain support 96% of the liberal values of Hillary Clinton and  Barrack Obama.  All three despise successful, big business, are against tax cuts, and wish to bestow amnesty to illegal aliens, just to mention a few examples. Come November, should McCain become the Republican nominee for President, voters will be hard-pressed to be able to distinguish between McCain, Clinton or Obama.  To conservatives, this election  would be a nightmare.  Some conservatives have threatened not to vote, or worse yet, vote for a Democrat.

Should this scenario actually occur (and there is a strong possibility it will), people really need to stop and think!  Even though McCain is very liberal, there is still one huge difference between him and the Democratic candidates.   Following President Bush’s lead, McCain would protect the United States from terrorists.  To McCain’s credit, he is a military man.  He does not hate the military like Clinton or Obama.  Rather, he supports the people who risk their lives to keep America safe.  This is the one key difference separating McCain from the Democratic candidates.  It is also the most important.

When they go to the polls, voters need to ask themselves one question – whom would the terrorists like to see as President of the United States?  We know their choice would not be John McCain.
