Pewaukee- "He's a rising young star in the state of Wisconsin," declared Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen as he welcomed incumbent U.S. Congressman Paul Ryan (R) to the stage at Country Springs Hotel where the State and County Republican Parties were holding their Election Night bash.
Ryan won the race for the First Congressional District by a landslide, taking 78.31 percent of the vote over opponents Democrat Marge Krupp (20.64%) and Libertarian Joseph Kexel (1.02 %).
"We won a good victory tonight," stated Ryan. "We ran on ideas ...This election is a historical election for this country ... We need to look back on this and think: this is the time when we turned things around," he added.
