LivingLakeCountry.com has a new feature, Community Forums, where readers can come to discuss issues and events that are important in their community.

There are message boards for every community and school covered by Lake Country and Mukwonago Publications, as well as for sports, entertainment and more. LivingLakeCountry.com staff will provide some topics for comment, but readers can pose their own question and begin their own thread.

To join the conversation go to http://community.livinglakecountry.com/forums, or look for the Featured Forum Question on the homepage.

The forums will add another dimension to LivingLakeCountry.com, the premier community Web site for Lake Country and the surrounding area. The site, which was recently named the Best Local News Site of its size in the nation by Suburban Newspapers of America, offers news content and photos from five newspapers, up-to-the-minute news coverage through Lake Country Watch, a slate of prolific Community Bloggers, and Your News and Your Photos, where readers can post their own news and pictures.

Lake Country's premier Web site is now recognized as the Best Overall Local News Site among other community and suburban newspaper Web sites in North America.

LivingLakeCountry.com earned a first place award in the Suburban Newspapers of America 2008 Local Community Web SIte Contest, in a division of non-daily newspapers with circulations smaller than 100,000. The SNA reported a record-setting number of entries for this year's contest.

Judges in the contest noted: "LivingLakeCountry.com offers up-to-the minute coverage of the area. Breaking news is posted on the site before it hits the print publication. Community members are encouraged to comment on stories on the site. The site is enhanced by video, photos and links to more information on the stories. Overall, the site has a clean, user-friendly format."

"SNA is recognized as the strongest national association for weekly and daily community publications," said Lake Country and Mukwonago Publications Publisher Steve Lyles. "To receive such recognition with a site less than a year-old is amazing."
