The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) will hold a public meeting on its $7.7 million Highway
74 project from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at the Willow Springs
Learning Center, W220 N6660 Town Line Road, Menomonee Falls.
The project will reconstruct the highway from Waukesha Avenue and
Main Street in Sussex northeast to Good Hope Road in Lannon and just rehab the road from Good Hope Road northeast to Elder Lane in Menomonee Falls,
starting Monday, May 5. The contractor, James Peterson Sons Inc. of
Sheboygan, is expected to complete work by mid November, weather
permitting.
“Crews will add concrete and asphalt pavement, curb and gutter,
sidewalks, lighting, signs, pavement markings, new signals and a
roundabout at McLaughlin Road/County V,” according DOT project leader
Jeanne Marchant.
The project team and contractor will be
available to provide information and answer questions. The school is
wheelchair accessible. Hearing-impaired citizens may request an
