Lannon — Waste Management officials say the company plans to continue normally-scheduled garbage pickups next week, including Tuesday, the day after Labor Day, despite the Teamsters Union drivers’ strike, though lower-priority recycling pickups might be delayed.
Village Administrator James Lamb said officials of the Houston-based company told him they would bring in management personnel and out-of-town and even out-of-state drivers to pick up the garbage on time.
Lannon's garbage usually gets picked up Monday afternoons, except on holidays.
