While Mukwonago School District absenteeism rates related to flu-like illness have begun to increase, to date the rates have not reached the levels that have been observed at other nearby districts, an Oct. 15 school health bulletin stated. City of Delafield - Margaret Zerwekh's neighbors have filed a law suit in Waukesha County Circuit Court challenging a ruling by an administrative law judge that Zerwekh can remove the dam she owns on the Bark River near the corner of Main Street and Mill Road. Kettle Moraine's varsity girls softball team finished play in the Classic 8 Conference Monday by scoring an easy 11-0 win over visiting Mukwonago. KM completed league play at 8-6, good for fourth place. Sam Pfeifer, batting .524 on the season, had three hits and six RBIs for the Lasers. Candace Rupnick led the Lasers with four hits. Visiting Milwaukee Pius upset the first-place Arrowhead varsity girls fastpitch sofbtall team Monday afternoon, 4-1, in a Classic 8 Conference game. AHS had defeated Pius twice earlier in the season. The loss dropped the Warhawks to 11-2 in league play with one game remaining. Pius finished the season Monday with an 11-3 record. City of Oconomowoc- Using spray paint in the school's colors of purple and gold, vandals wrote "'09" on the side of the Oconomowoc Arts Center at Oconomowoc High School and also vandalized the 9-foot bronze statue named ‘Melody' that stands sentry outside the facility.
